Shapiro of South Jersey Cardiology, P.C. was recognized for 15 years of service as a staff cardiologist with South Jersey Healthcare (SJH). The Board of Directors, Senior Management and Medical Staff of SJH honored Dr. Shapiro and 71 other physicians for length of service at the First Annual Physician Recognition Dinner held at the Centerton Country Club. “I am honored that South Jersey Healthcare recognized my dedication to improving heart health,” said Dr. Shapiro. “I am truly fortunate to work in a field where we can make a significant difference in an individual’s quality of life.” Barry E. Shapiro, D.O., FACC, FACOI of South Jersey Cardiology, P.C. is one of Southern New Jersey’s leading cardiologists specializing in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all forms of cardiovascular disease. As a member of the South Jersey Healthcare medical staff, Dr. Shapiro is on the Physician’s Advisory Committee and the System Critical Care Committee for the health system. He is double-board certified in cardiology and internal medicine. He received his D.O. degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and served his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Kennedy Memorial Hospitals, Stratford, NJ. His cardiology fellowship was at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia.
