JILL TYLER LECTURES ON WHAT WOMEN NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HEART DISEASE

Millville, NJ (March 12, 2009) - Jill Tyler, an Advanced Practice Nurse at South Jersey Cardiology in Millville, presented at the South Jersey Healthcare Women’s Health Institute’s annual Heart Health Conference at Centerton Country Club in Pittsgrove on February 19. More than 200 local women were on hand at the event designed to raise awareness among women about cardiovascular disease. Tyler ’s presentation focused on what women need to know in order to reduce their risk of heart disease with important statistics and medical information regarding ideal blood pressure, calorie intake and expenditure, cholesterol and more. It also addressed the signs and symptoms of a stroke and heart attack.

“I believe that every woman should understand and practice preventative cardiology,” said Tyler . “No matter what an individual’s risk profile is, there are always steps that can be taken to help reduce the chances of developing heart disease.”

Tyler has over 20 years nursing experience. Previously, she served as a staff and relief charge nurse in Bridgeton Hospital 's Intensive Care Unit and has been certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Nurse Practitioner, in addition to Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association.
